Executry

Executry is a legal term which is used to describe a deceased’s estate. In Scotland, an executor must be appointed before they can take over and administer the deceased’s estate.

An executor can be appointed either under the deceased’s Will or by the Court. Where appointment is made by the Court, the executor must be the beneficiary of the estate.

At Cameron Macaulay, we offer assistance with appointment of executors, the administration of the estate, confirmation, and inheritance tax.
